Clinique Dramatically Different Hydrating Event

I attended the Clinique Dramatically Different Hydrating Event last Saturday at Kota Kasablanka alongside Vania, Deedee, Vina, Ghina. We’re invited by the lovely Diras as she hosted the event that day. We got to tried out the new product and got a full makeover by the Clinique Team, WOW! So here’s some snippets of the fun and transformation from that day.

Before the makeover we actually got consultation with the Clinique consultant to test out which product suits our skin the best. Since there are three kind of variance for the Clinique moisturizer. There’s the lotion one which is perfect for dry skin, gel for oily skin and the newest jelly for all skin type but the jelly is designed specifically for those who lives in a busy city and has high pollution. I’m so interested in the jelly one because fyi I take gojek and commute to work every day. Clinique is turning 51 this year and in every 5 or 8 years they renewed the formula for their infamous moisturizer.

I got my face makeover by the gorgeous Stephanie. She actually did a great job in transforming me doe, thank you luv! Since I have some acnes on my face I specifically use the anti-blemish solutions foundation. They said that their makeup actually contains some ingredients used in their skincare, so how cool is that I feel much safer in using their makeup products on my face.

Skin Bar Party by Dermalogica Indonesia

How are you? Today I want to review my experience at skin bar party by Dermalogica Indonesia. I’m personally so thrilled for this, since I could get to try out their products. I know Dermalogica for quite a while now. My muse Irene Kim is known to use some of their products.

The event is held at mall alam sutera, tangerang. Here’s my station, we were given plenty of cotton pads, tissues, water, shower cap (to cover our hair), towel (so our clothes don’t get wet). Before we actually start with the demo, we’re given hand sanitizer since we gonna touch our face, A LOT.

Here's the instructor that gonna guide us throughout the skincare process and doing a demo on the model.

First up we gonna cleanse our face with precleanse, this is one of their top selling product. It’s an oil based type, first we pour it into our hand and gently massage it throughout the whole face, precleanse thoroughly melts away layers of excess sebum, sunscreen, makeup, etc. It really does remove my eyeliner!! After massaging it, we use water on a cotton pad and just swab it away.

Second, we use the daily microfoliant. It’s a powder based product, it was made from rice formula that activates upon contact with water, releasing papain salicylic acid that micro-exfoliated dead cells, just rub it all over face, focusing on redness area and instantly leaving skin smoother and brighter. It’s suitable more for normal skin, you can use it everyday. But for my dear sensitive skin mates out there you can use this once or twice in a week since it could leave a sting-y feel on your face.

Third, we fully wash our face with clearing skin wash. It helps clear oils and bacteria on breakout prone skin. 

Fourth, since the microfoliant sting my face a little. We’re given moisturiser called barrier repair, it’s so perfect for sensitive skin. It minimize the sting-y feeling and redness slowly. It’s give out matte feeling which I love!!

Fifth, we move on to toner. This toner is in the spary-form which is so handy and the finishing feel is so fresh and I feel my skin is renew lol. It help condition the skin and prepare for more moisture absorption.

Then, we apply super sensitive shield sunscreen with spf 30. Sunblock is a necessity for our daily life especially we live in tropical weather country, where the sun shines almost everyday. It doesn’t leave any white casts on our face so our skin tone won’t change.

Lastly, we use primer. It really preps my skin and gives of glowing finish and the texture is matte btw. 

So here’s my post-skincare-routine face, ta-daa..

As you can tell, I remove my makeup and my skin looks so glowing and fresh after all those products on my face.

Kin Bulgarian Grand Launching

Tanggal 22 maret yang lalu aku diundang ke event Kin Bulgarian Yogurt #KinYogurt grand launching. Seperti yang telah aku sebutkan di Instagramku, I’m not a big fan of yogurt-drink but I enjoy yogurt-ice-cream. Tapi aku harus selalu consume yogurt karena aku punya constipation problem, di mana aku susah banget untuk (sorry) buang air besar (BAB), dalam seminggu aku jarang banget BAB paling sekali atau dua kali maksimal, AND I KNOW itu ga sehat banget. Meskipun minum yogurt kadang membantu tapi ga semua yogurt bias langsung membantu memperlancar BABku gitu. So waktu aku pertama kali dengar tentang Bulgarian yogurt aku kayak mikir “what made it different from any other yogurt hmm” apa sih yang bikin beda dari yang lain, so I’m super excited to attended this event and review ‘em for you guys, so just keep on scrolling and reading.

PT ABC Kogen Dairy berinovasi dan berkontribusi dalam memenuhi kebutuhan akan milk-based beverage in Indonesia. Hal ini juga merupakan pertama kalinya PT ABC Kogen Dairy meluncurkan minuman yogurt Bulgaria pertama di Indonesia. Ms Alexandrina Guigova sebagai wakil dari Bulgarian embassy in Indonesia menyatakan bahwa “Bulgarians especially in the Rhodope Mountains of Bulgaria you will find beautiful happy people living longer and looks younger than their age, many people age 100+ years old there. They claim the secret is to live a simple life, have no stress, breathe clean air and to eat healthy. Bulgarian yogurt takes a large part of their daily consumption.” Beliau menyatakan bahwa masyarakat Bulgaria dikenal berumur panjang terutama di daerah pegunungan Rhodope dan rahasianya adalah hidup yang simple, tidak stress, udara yang bersih dan segar serta makan sehat. Masyarakat Bulgaria mampu menjalani kehidupan modern tanpa menghilangkan sisi tradisionalnya sehingga Bulgariapun dikenal untuk mengkonsumsi yogurt setiap harinya.

Brand ambassador untuk Kin Bulgarian yogurt ini di Indonesia adalah the lovely Ms Nadine Chandrawinata. As we all know she always looks gorgeous and stunning yea? Duh guys ga bohong asli cantik banget  and her body looks stunning. Rahasia dari Ms Nadine sendiri adalah dia sudah mengkonsumsi yogurt setiap pagi sejak SMA, woahh so cool, sedangkan I’m here be like “nasi uduk everyday” lol I really wish I could change that habit of mine doe. Sebagai seorang traveler, Ms Nadine pernah berkunjung ke Rhodope mountains dan dia sangat terkesima dengan pemandangannya yang indah dan penduduk di sana terlihat sehat, bahagia, dan tetap aktif meskipun sudah berumur. Dia juga berkata bahwa resep tradisional yaitu Bulgaria yogurt yang terkenal akan the secret to living younger kini sudah bisa ditemukan pada Kin Bulgarian yogurt.

Hari itu juga hadir Dr. Diana F. Suganda.Kes, SpGK, dokter spesialis gizi dari RSPI Bintaro Jaya juga menjelaskan bahwa Bulgarian yogurt atau susu fermentasi atau yogurt telah terbukti, dapat menyehatkan saluran pencernaan dan membantu meningkatkan kesehatan dengan mengaktifkan sel-sel kekebalan tubuh. Kultur bakteri dalam kandungan yogurt membantu proses fermentasi dengan mengubah laktosa menjadi asam laktat sehingga yogurt juga dapat dikonsum oleh mereka yang alergi terhadap laktulosa atau tidak bisa mengkonsumsi susu. Hal yang membedakan yogurt dengan Bulgarian yogurt adalah bakteri yang dipakai untuk Kin Bulgarian yogurt adalah lactobasilus bulgarius yang dibawa langsung dari Bulgaria. Mengkonsumsi yogurt seiap hari juga sehat dan aman untuk orang yang memiliki penyakit maag, karena yogurt itu sour sedangkan sakit maag itu dilarang mengkonsumsi acid.

Mr Anton Budiharjo juga menyatakan selama ratusan tahun yogurt telah menjadi menu sehari-hari penduduk Bulgaria. Dr. Ilya Mechnikov, seorang pemenang hadiah nobel membuktikan khasiat yogurt dan kaitannya dengan banyaknya penduduk di Bulgaria yang hidup lebih dari 100 tahun. Campaign utama dari Kin Bulgarian yogurt ini adalah #TheSecretToLivingYounger karena akhirnya kini #TheSecretIsOut dan masyarakat di Indonesia juga dapat merasakan rahasianya #BulgarianYogurt dari sebotol Kin. Kin Bulgarian yogurt ini juga hadir dalam 3 varian rasa yaitu: original, strawberry, dan orange.

Kita juga diberikan gelang khas Bulgaria yang bernama Martenitsa as a symbol of spring, fertility and prosperity. Martenitsa adalah aksesoris kecil terbuat dari benang putih dan merah. Mewakili 2 boneka kecil Pizho (laki-laki yang berwarna putih) dan Penda (perempuan yang berwarna merah). Martenitsa biasa dipakai bulan Maret dan dilepaskan pada akhir Maret untuk digantung di pohon beserta dengan wishes mereka. How sweet!

Aku, Michelle Sanjaya, juga personally demen banget dengan yang namanya everything related to #LiveYounger, entah baik dari skincare hingga lifestyle meskipun aku masih terbilang cukup muda tapi lebih baik mencegah dari awal daripada terlambat. So I’m really curious when I heard this product. Setelah mencoba I’m so happy for the outcome! Waktu aku minum Kin yogurt ini to be honest constipation ku jadi lancar banget. Rasanya yang original atau plain enak banget to be honest rasanya so milky dan ada honeynya gituu kayak beda lah dari yogurt yang lain that’s why aku bisa minum Kin yogurt ini setiap hari unlike typical yogurt, strawberry juga enak lohh makanya itu jadi my next fave.
